Adobe and CCTV.com are joining forces to create an “Olympic Network TV Station” with international appeal. Rooted in Adobe Flash and Flex technology, millions of sports fans in mainland China and Macau will be able to keep their eye on the games.
Thousands of hours of video will be available on CCTVOlympics.com, with sports fans able to view the Olympic sports, athletes and country teams of their choice.
Promising to be “Your window on China and the world,” users will have easy access to Olympic results, statistics, athlete bios, and sport rules.
A social networking aspect of the site allows enables fans to share their unique perspective on their Olympic thoughts.
With over 3,800 hours of worldwide broadcast Olympic Games video and 1,200 hours of CCTV’s own video, you won’t miss a beat – or a medal ceremony.
With the start of the games a mere four days away, the site is getting ready for its prime-time close up. If you’re into the games, we think you’ll like what you see.
