J.A. Konrath: This self-published author has written a dozen novels including the Jack Daniels mystery series. Konrath is an Amazon evangelist who posts on his blog about how he rakes in money selling his books through Kindle Direct Publishing.
Nathan Bransford: Former literary agent turned writer, Bransford is the author of the sci-fi novel for middle grade kids called Jacob Wonderbad and the Cosmic Space Kapow.
Cory Doctorow: Journalist and sci-fi author is a big believer in giving away free eBook versions of his books, which he claims helps to drive sales.
Amanda Hocking: Author of dozens of paranormal romance novels for young adults, Hocking got her start self-publishing her books to Amazon after being rejected by traditional publishers. After lots of success with self-publishing, St. Martin’s and Pan Macmillan are reissuing some of her books and Media Rights Capital has optioned her work for film.
Carolyn McCray: Self-published author of paranormal romances, historical thrillers and mysteries, McCray earned has $8,250 during the month of December because she allowed her eBooks to be checked out in the Kindle Lending Library.
