comScore has released some data regarding iPhone usage in the UK. According to its research, 80% of British iPhone owners used the device to access news or other information in January. This compares to 48% of all other smartphone users and 20% of all mobile consumers.
Seventy-five percent used their iPhone to access e-mail, an activity that is only enjoyed by 35.4% of other smartphone users and 13.1% of mobile users at large.
Other popular activities for the iPhone include:
* Listening to music: 65.6%
* Accessing news or info via a downloaded application: 55.6%
* Checking the weather: 55.5%
* Searching the Web: 55.1%
* Visiting a social network: 54.8%
