A Hallmark Moment for Facebook SocialCalendar

Facebook application SocialCalendar is having a Hallmark moment, as the greeting-card giant made a significant investment in the app, and it was relaunched as Hallmark SocialCalendar, TechCrunch reported.

New features that came along with Hallmark’s entry were Hallmark Wall Wishes (which TechCrunch described as bite-sized animated designs that can be combined with personalized messages and posted on friends’ Facebook Walls), online e-cards, virtual gifts and calendar icons. They joined the app’s already-existing event-planning, movie-showtime researching and public-calendar features.

SocialCalendar founder Raj Lalwani told TechCrunch the app will be integrated with Hallmark’s iPhone app.
