Moving back to the desktop for a moment, MediaPost reports that Disney-ABC Television Group launched a new, updated version of ABC.com’s Full Episode Player, further cementing the network’s online TV presence and opening up the potential for on-the-go media sharing.
“The new full episode player features a redesigned user interface and incorporates several enhancements to allow for user customization, interactivity and improved viewing capabilities.”
Specifically, the report said that it now includes true full-screen viewing and a video search feature that lets users search for series graphically, alphabetically, by genre or popularity. ABC also threw in the usual social-networking, media sharing, and blog linking upgrades that everything has to have these days. In addition, closed-captioning and parental ratings information will be available beginning this fall, according to the article.
