ABCNews.com has announced a content-sharing collaboration with a new blog that is mostly by and almost entirely for women called Double X. It’s a spinoff of the Slate blog XX Factor.
Says ABCNews.com’s Ed O’Keefe, Senior Producer of Special Projects & Innovation, “Double X hopes to engage women writers and readers in a conversation about news, politics, culture, family, parenting, work and life at large.”
“There’s no Website out there like Double X,” said Meghan O’Rourke, one of three editors who co-founded the site. “We’ll be thoughtful without being earnest, funny without being snarky. We’ll offer a feminist viewpoint without restricting ourselves to any sort of party line. And it will be the kind of conversation men will want to eavesdrop on.”
Really? Try me.
Anyway, here’s how it works: Double X will send their content to ABCNews.com and vice versa.
