A new survey from ABI Research said that the top three must-have features on cellphones today are a digital camera, Bluetooth, and music/radio playback, according to RCR Wireless News.
“The survey of 1,402 wireless subscribers in seven countries found nearly half of consumers want a camera phone with 2+ megapixels, and about one-third of consumers want Bluetooth connectivity and music/FM radio functionality.”
The report said that regardless, consumers still choose their carrier based on price, friends and family being on the same network and network coverage, according to ABI Research. Interestingly, the three most common features on cell phones that people already own only include one of the above three—the camera; the other two most common capabilities are mobile gaming and Web access.
