If you’re looking for an online home for all of your text, music and videos, that you can access from anywhere and share with friends, look no further than Wixi.Files can be uploaded from your computer or added from the Web with no software to download. Thanks to the Wixi Player, videos can be played directly from the homepage you create – which has the look and feel of a typical desktop. Save time by uploading multiple files at once with the uploader tool.

rotor_wixi.jpgA cool feature of the site is the Wixi Report. This will show you all of the files that your friends have recently added, allowing you to add these items to your page with a single click. But beware! If you’re snooping around, users can check a log of who has visited their page.

A basic Wixi account, which is currently free, will get you 3GB of space to stock up on your favorite stuff. If you are looking for more space and to get rid of some annoying advertising, you can upgrade to a paid account.

As you would expect, there have been some bumps in the beta road. When recently mentioned on TechCrunch, Wixi experienced a spike in traffic that it simply could not handle – slowing uploads down to a crawl.
