AccuWeather has announced an upgrade to its mobile service that places deeper weather information on BlackBerry handset home screens. The new service includes regular weather data that’s pushed to the handset, including hourly forecasts, 10-day forecasts, weather alerts, and radar images.
A recent Nielsen Mobile report showed that weather was the second most popular category of mobile content, surpassed only by email, the company said in a statement. In addition, back in 2007, Nielsen Mobile rated AccuWeather.com one of the top fifteen mobile brands.
