Fans and loyal users of Google’s free blog hosting site Blogger.com aka Blogspot.com would be glad to know that they can now add those nifty iGoogle Gadgets on the sidebar of their respective blogs. Yes folks, you can now embed various useful widgets and start giving your blog readers more important information and tidbits delivered by iGoogle Gadgets.
You can start using this new Blogger.com feature when you go to the EDIT LAYOUT from your account dashboard. On the right navigation panel you’d notice a new selection tab called “Add a Gadget”. By clicking on that tab a new window will open up where you can choose various iGoogle Gadgets that you can add into your Blogger.com account.
Among these Google Gadgets are 18 basic iGoogle Gadgets – Blog list, Slideshow, Subscription Links, Poll, List, Link List, Picture, Adsense, Text, HTML/Javascript Code, Feed, Labels, Newsreel, Video bar, Logo, Profile, Blog Archive and Page Header.
In addition to these basic iGoogle Gadgets, you can also choose from other Gadgets grouped into various categories including; News, Tools, Communication, Fun & Games, Finance, Sports, Lifestyle, and Technology.
Google maybe a bit too late in offering these Gadgets into their very own blog hosting site, but this feature is certainly a welcome development especially for those still using Blogger.com as their blogging platform. And those individuals certainly number a lot.
