On the mobile advertising front, AdMob just opened a New York branch to focus on expanding its mobile advertising platform. The company seeks to educate advertisers on mobile marketing opportunities, something that can prove elusive to clients who are overwhelmed with the technical hurdles.
Started in 2006, AdMob “now sells banner and text ads on more than 3,000 mobile Web sites from big-name marketers including Ford, Procter & Gamble, BlackBerry and Best Buy,” according to the report. The company says it is now serving 2 billion impressions per month, making it time to open an office in “the ad industry’s capital.”
