Alltel Expands Latin Entertainment Offerings

Alltel Wireless announced that subscribers with video-capable phones will now have access to Univision Movil‘s video offerings, as well as GoTV’s ES Musica, an original-programming music channel.

Mobile clips include Univision shows such as “Noticiero Univision” (an Emmy award-winning evening newscast), “El Gordo y La Flaca” (an entertainment talk show), TeleFutura’s “Escandalo TV” (a celebrity talk show) and “Contacto Deportivo” (a sports show).

Meanwhile, GoTV’s ES Musica channel showcases Latin pop, rock, hip-hop, and reggaeton news and entertainment programming, the latter of which includes both music videos and behind-the-scenes coverage of live events.

Earlier this year, Verizon scooped up Alltel for $28 billion. In the meantime, Alltel has continued to expand its mobile media offerings post-acquisition.
