Amazon announced today that the Kindle app will be the first eReading app available with the launch of Microsoft’s new Windows 7 phone.

Achim Berg, Corporate Vice President of the Mobile Communications Business at Microsoft Corp had this statement: “We designed Windows Phone 7 to bring together a host of services and content — from Microsoft and third parties — in a way that seamlessly integrates the things you care about most, from movies to shopping and reading, and Amazon is key to delivering that experience to customers.”

Like other Kindle apps, the Windows app will sync with a user’s other Kindle devices and apps so that a user can access their library from any app.
