Time Magazine’s overall best gadgets of 2009 list was puzzling to me. Their #1 pick, the Motorola Droid, is an interesting one. But, I wonder if won more for its well orchestrated marketing campaign (great TV ads)? The Barnes & Noble nook ebook reader landing at #2 puzzled me the most. And, with the lukewarm reception it is getting from reviewers, I wonder if Time would like to retract that one completely. The Best Travel Gadgets of 2009

…Number 1 on this list is the Slingbox Pro-HD. While I can see its appeal while on the go, I don’t see it as something to recommend to every traveler. The MiFi at #2 on the list seems like a better choice for the gadget geek on the go. And, how is it that the #1 overall pick, the Droid, is way down at #13 in the travel list while #2 overall pick, the B&N nook, is #15.

Personally, I think the MiFi should be the #1 item in the list. What about you?
