Android Takes Tablet Market Share Away From Apple: Netbiscuits

The overall tablet market has increased 65% in the past year, according to a new report from software company Netbiscuits.

The report compares the growth of Android devices against the iPad showing that Android tablets grew in market share from 38% in Q2 2012 to 63% in Q2 2013. The iPad on the other hand, has dropped from 60% market share in Q2 2012 to 30% in Q2 2013.

The report also revealed that six percent of tablet users admit to abandoning a website after a bad tablet experience. In addition, the United States is the only country to include social networking as one of the Top 5 activities on a tablet. Search is the primary activity that North Americans and Europeans participate in while using tablets. Follow this link to check out the data displayed in a lovely infographic.
