Animoto is a web service that lets you upload photos or grab them from existing services like Flickr, creates a slick looking professional video slideshow and provides pre-licensed music with the video. It doesn’t, however, let you add a voiceover like 12seconds.tv does with their three-photo 12 second long slideshows.

The released released update…

Animoto Videos 2.0 (iTunes App Store)

…is a free app and is able to sync to your Animoto.com account, download videos for offline viewing, improves image placement and provides more pre-licensed music for your to choose from. You can sign up for a free account that lets you create slideshow videos up to 30 seconds long. If you pay $30 per year you can create much longer videos. I’m not a slideshow with music kind of person. But, I was impressed by what I saw when I tried it out a year or two ago.
