It may not seem like it, given AOL’s recent troubles, but AOL Music is the most-visited music portal online with over 100 million uniques per month globally and 20 million in the U.S. MediaPost reports that today, AOL Music today is expected to debut an AOL Music Sessions segment featuring Beyoncé to coincide with the release of her new album, along with more focus overall on the Sessions side of the music portal.

The report said that the move “represents efforts by the embattled Time Warner unit to innovate and stay relevant in the face of diminishing resources.” That means the end of a number of AOL services, including AOL Pictures, Hometown AOL, and AOL Uncut Video, and the demise of its internal video management unit. There’s no word yet on how AOL plans to bring its new Sessions-focus to the AOL Music mobile WAP site.
