AP (Associated Prees) Mobile announced that…
AP Mobile 2.0 for iPhone released
AP’s free iPhone app was, to my recollection, the first iPhone news app from a major news gathering organziation. Fortunately, that first release was also a well-written app that ran relatively fast and was stable (unlike a few news apps that followed it). This 2.0 update looks like a major one which adds a new configurable front page, story customization, region specific news selection, landscape and portrait news reading and increased content availability.
Do note the following cautionary statement from AP about this update though:
Please note: some users are experiencing difficulties updating their application to 2.0. This happens on first running the application as the application registers with our back-end servers. If this happens to you, we suggest you delete the application and when you have a strong WIFI signal re-downloading the application and running it again. Please use the contact form below if you have any problems and a member of the team will respond to you directly.
