The Reader’s Digest Food and Entertaining Affinity (RDA) found the recipe for success with its Allrecipes.com, as the Website closed its fiscal year June 30 with 40% year-over-year ad-revenue growth, a 50% increase in site visits and a jump of more than 60% in user-generated content, according to comScore Media Metrix.
RDA said Nielsen ranked Allrecipes.com as the No. 1 food site with a total of 8.316 million unique visitors, over 1 million more than its nearest competitor.
Allrecipes.com is also extending its reach across the globe, launching in Germany this month, along with launching its Dinner Spinner iPhone app in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and Germany. There are now seven localized sites: the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia/New Zealand, France, Germany, China and Japan.
