Apple Dishes Out Free ‘Holiday Cheer’ Songs

Cheer2OfferApple is offering a free, eight-song holiday playlist through its Apple Store app. The “Holiday Cheer” free playlist offer expires just before the new year on Dec. 31, though Apple warns it is “subject to availability.”

If you haven’t already downloaded the Apple Store app, do that first. Then scroll down the list until you see “Holiday” with a red icon. After you choose to download it, Apple sends you a redemption code to get the eight songs for free. Then click on the redemption code and your downloads should start. It’s a slightly convoluted process for Apple.

Here are the free eight songs: “Ava Maria” by IL Vollo; “Children Go Where I Send Thee” by Nick Lowe; “Duck the Halls” by The Robertsons; “Joy to the World” by Celtic Woman; “Silent Night” by Kelly Clarkson; “The Christmas Song” (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire) by Kool and the Gang; “The First Noel” by Mary J Blige; and “What Child Is This” by Marvin Sapp.

The offer was not visible in the iPad Apple Store app, only the iPhone.
