There must be something in the water in Cupertino – Apple has agreed to variable pricing for a bunch more TV shows on iTunes in the UK, AfterDawn reports.

damages.jpgThe company, which famously lost NBC Universal’s TV shows from the US iTunes site when it refused to give in to the network’s demand to choose how much to charge, now offers some NBC shows at various prices on iTunes UK.

It has also struck a deal with Sony Pictures to add episodes of Damages, NewsRadio, The Larry Sanders Show, Spider-man and Jackie Chan Adventures to the UK iTunes catalog, with per-episode prices ranging from 1.19 pounds to 1.89 pounds.

So far, HBO is the only network that’s been able to get Apple to ditch the $1.99-per-episode edict in the US.
