Apple Has Revealed 2 New iPhones

Apple has revealed two new iPhones — the iPhone 5C and the iPhone 5S. Both phones ships September 20th in the U.S.

At a press conference in Cupertino, CA, Apple’s Philip W. Schiller, revealed that the phones. CNET and The New York Times are among sites live blogging the event and we are gathering details from these sites.

The iPhone 5 C comes in five colors — green, grey, light blue, peach and yellow. Owners will be able to pick the color of the phone’s home screen as well as the color of their case. The phone has a 4-inch display with an A6 chip inside. The battery is larger than in the iPhone 5. It features an 8 megapixel iSight camera, with 3x video zoom and it comes with filters built in. It has a new FaceTime HD camera with larger pixels to help in low light. The 16GB phone costs $99, a 32GB is $199, with a contract.

The iPhone 5S is made of aluminum. It has an A7 64 bit chip, the world’s first. iOS 7 has been retooled to support this new speed which is 40x faster than the previous iPhone. The new phone’s battery power is equal to or greater than that of the current iPhone. The phone also has a new chip called the M7 that can monitor motion. It includes an accelerometer, gyroscope and compass. The phone also comes with a new Apple-designed camera lens with an f/2.2 aperture. Apple claims that the camera can take photos like an SLR camera. The camera even has a slow motion video recording feature.

The iPhone 5S also features a fingerprint login tool called the Touch ID sensor. It is built into the home button. The phone can recognize the owner’s fingerprint and use this to login to the phone, as well as to buy apps. Phones can have multiple different thumbprints for a single phone. The phone costs $199 for a 16GB model, $299 for a 32GB model and $399 for a 64GB model.
