Apple Plans to Pull 500px App From App Store For Nudity

Apple has plans to remove the 500px photography app from the App Store, after concerns that users have been posting nude photos. Pulpfingers, the Twitter handle for App Studio, the company that created the app, tweeted the news yesterday, “ISO500 is going to be temporarily removed from the @AppStore. We will be back soon. Sorry for the inconvenience.”

Shortly after they tweeted, “…apparently, our app (ISO500) is still on the App Store. Though Apple called us today to inform us that it will be removed.” As of writing this post, the app is still available in the App Store. It is also currently available in Google Play.

This morning the company tweeted that it is working to fix the app to avoid its removal. They tweeted: “We already submitted an update to the @appstore for ISO500. It fixes a few bugs and deals with the nudity concerns.”
