CNET News reports that Apple just reached one million iPhone sales.
“Monday morning, a little more than two months after the the much-lusted-after gadget went on sale, Apple said in a brief press release that it had sold its 1 millionth iPhone,” the post said.
“One million iPhones in 74 days,” Apple CEO Steve Jobs said in a press release. “It took almost two years to achieve this milestone with iPod.”
The announcement comes less than a week after Apple ruffled some feathers by cutting the iPhone’s price a staggering $200, leaving some early adopters feeling cheated. Apple later apologized and is now offering everyone who bought the handset at its original price a $100 store credit.
