appssavvyLogo.jpgappssavvy, a direct sales team that connects social-media applications on Facebook, MySpace, Google and the iPhone with brands and agencies, tripled its employee base, adding seven new staffers.

The company added that it recently topped 100 social-media-application campaigns in categories including automotive, beer and liquor, consumer electronics, consumer packaged goods, entertainment, financial services, food, pharmaceuticals, retail and technology.

The new appssavvy hires are: director of East Coast sales Rob Holiber, formerly with Daily News Digital; director of West Coast sales Lauren Jaramillo, previously with AtomicOnline’s CraveOnline; director of West Coast sales Jeff Skaggs, from Collective Media; director of West Coast sales Michael Vos, who comes from Specific Media; senior traffic manager Jerome Brissett, previously with ASMALLWORLD Holdings; account manager Yael Zeman, who had been with National Cable Communications; and creative assistant Dillen Phelps, formerly with Vault.com.

appssavvy founder and CEO Chris Cunningham said:

It is tremendously exciting and gratifying to start a company with a unique offering in the rapidly growing social-media space and steer that success to the levels we’ve accomplished in such a short period of time. Tripling in size is a direct result of the opportunity and demand to bring together developers and publishers of social-media applications, whether they are on Facebook or other social networks, and increasingly on the iPhone, with brands and agencies.
