Apptera, which bills itself as the voice and visual mobile ad network, is offering its advertisers a new audience targeting option. The company has created a “mobile generation” channel on its MobileAd Xchange network, giving advertisers a way to have their ads appear only on sites whose audience consists largely of that most coveted 18- to 34-year-old demographic.
Arsenal Interactive, which operates the HeyCosmo service that lets users send free voice SMS messages to avoid playing phone tag, and Tagango, which offers one-to-many voice or text group communications, are the first applications to join the new channel.
Both companies are using Apptera’s voice and visual ad insertion technology to monetize their voice services.
