Smelling Is Believing These April Fool’s Day Pranks

This year’s crop of April Fool’s Day pranks on social media will test your sense of humor and your sense of smell.

1. Google launched Google Nose.

Now you can search Google’s database of more than 15 million scentibytes for smells. For instance, here’s “Wet Dog:”

Wait a minute, Google Nose can smell the inside of an Egyptian tomb? Why is this a joke, Google? Get on it.

2. The White House pranked Americans with a special message from the President.

Here’s an excerpt: “White House! I’m here! Peace. Pthhh, pthhh, pthhh.”

3. Also fishy: Twitter announced the launch of Twttr, a consonant-only tier of the microblogging service.

From now on, if you want a vowel (other than Y), it’ll cost you.
