Artist Creates Silent Spotify Album to Raise Funds for Tour

You’re going to wish you thought of this idea first: get your music fans to play your silent album on Spotify while they sleep. Why? To raise money.

Here’s how it works. Spotify pays musicians $.0007 for each track that is streamed. By creating a completely silent album, the band Vulpeck is hoping to raise money by getting their fans to play the album on repeat while they sleep. That’s approximately $4 for every night of continuous streaming. It’s very productive sleep.

We also like their sense of humor. The album is called Sleepify and the 10 tracks are titled from z to Zzzzzzzzz – each z increasing and corresponding to the track number –  brilliantly quiet.
