RCR Wireless News has an “early look” at AT&T’s soon-to-launch MediaFLO-based mobile TV service. The site managed to get an LG Vu phone, one of two handset models that will support AT&T Mobile TV, and was able to get the service to launch.
As should be expected, AT&T Mobile TV’s features and functions are nearly identical to Verizon Wireless’ V CAST Mobile TV, which is also just a rebranding of the FLO service. It’s no surprise, either, that one major complaint is the limited content – only about 10 channels for $15 a month. You can check out the full review here.
The oft-delayed service is scheduled to go live on May 4.
