AT&T Wireless is realigning its product responsibilities and ad sales inside two new business units, according to FierceMobileContent, in an effort to make their products more attractive to advertisers in Internet, mobile, television, and print. Here’s how it shakes out:
“Under the new structure, AT&T’s Advertising & Publishing business unit will now operate as AT&T Advertising Solutions, assuming responsibility for all AT&T advertising sales,” the report said. “The Yellowpages.com unit is now AT&T Interactive, and will supervise development, management and delivery of online and mobile advertising products across all AT&T media platforms.”
AT&T has been busy expanding its subscriber base and Wi-Fi hotspot presence as of late; earlier in the month the company bought Centennial Wireless for $944 million and Wayport for $275 million.
