A new RCR Wireless News article reports that AT&T Mobility quietly overhauled its data plans last week, whittling its messaging and data bundles and launching a handful of new offerings, according to research firm Current Analysis Inc.
The carrier dropped more than a half-dozen offerings in the process. The new plans are primarily a way to back-fill the dropped offerings, the research firm said, and include $5 and $15 messaging bundles as well as two mobile Media Net Unlimited plans, according to the article.
AT&T Mobility also cut the price of its Media Max bundle to $35 per month. All of this could boost customer uptake of AT&T’s various mobile media offerings, though we’d like to see the prices come down even further.
