AT&T to Sell Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE Beginning Friday

AT&T  will begin to sell Amazon’s Kindle Fire HD 8.9″ 4G LTE 32 GB tablet beginning this Friday. The wireless carrier is selling the device for $399, the same price that Amazon sells it for. However, customers that sign up for a two-year data plan from AT&T will get a discount and will only have to pay $249.

AT&T offers various mobile Internet plans beginning at $10 per month. Existing customers can add it to their plans through AT&T’s mobile share programs. AT&T will sell the devices in stores and online. The device is currently listed on the company’s website, but you can’t add it to the cart yet.

“Being the first carrier to connect Amazon’s Kindle Fire HD to our 4G LTE network provides the best mobile internet experience,” stated Chris Penrose, SVP of emerging devices at AT&T, in a press release.  ”Combining our 4G LTE with Kindle Fire HD’s rich features at an incredible price point yields a great value and experience for our customers.”
