Got a Windows Mobile Phone? Enjoy Some Free Wi-Fi
This freebie only applies to Windows Mobile phones on an AT&T Wireless Plan. On10′s Sarah Perez says AT&T will start this free WiFi will start with Samsung models with other Windows Mobile phones to follow soon (including all Windows Mobile 6.5 devices).
Having apparently learned their lesson (they == AT&T) with the awful convoluted authentication scheme iPhone owners had to suffer prior to this summer, the Windows Mobile smartphones will be able to auto-authenticate on AT&T WiFi hotspots like the iPhone can (finally!).
I couldn’t find anything on AT&T’s site to confirm this. And, while I have several Windows Mobile smartphones, none of them are on the AT&T network. Can anyone confirm this service?
