Rick Sanchez Readies New Personal Website, RickSanchezTV.com


By now you know that former CNN anchor Rick Sanchez has resurfaced on Twitter, and you may have seen yesterday that his “friends” have launched a new web site defending him, according to Business Insider. The site’s creators say that “Friends of Rick Sanchez” is a website devoted to set the record straight on who Sanchez really is — despite what he said on the radio.

But WebNewser stumbled upon Sanchez’s actual new home on the web, RickSanchezTV.com, which was registered on October 20, 2010 — 20 days after Sanchez was fired from CNN.

Right now the site is pretty bare bones, with “Schedule” and “Contact Info” tabs that are not yet functional, as well as a direct link to Sanchez’s Twitter feed, which he has since renamed @RickSanchezTV.

The schedule may not be active yet on his site, but we know of at least one thing Sanchez has on tap in 2011:

'Save The Current Early Show Team' Online Campaign

CBS “The Early Show” overhauled their anchor lineup by dropping Maggie Rodriguez, Harry Smith, and Dave Price from the lineup to reveal the new four: Jeff Glor, Chris Wragge, Erica Hill, and Marysol Castro.

Now an online campaign titled “Save the Current Early Show Team” has been formed with a Facebook page, a Twitter account, and an online petition.

Sorry Harry, Maggie, Dave, and Erica fans! It’s too late now.

FoxNews.com’s ‘Skype Gripe’ Talks about ‘MSNBC Civil War’

Fox News’ liberal pundit Ellis Henican and conservative pundit Jim Pinkerton sat down today on FoxNews.com’s “Skype Gripe” to talk about the new developments in Keith Olbermann‘s suspension, referencing “The Daily Beastpost by Howard Kurtz. Pinkerton said on the “Gripe” that “Olbermann clearly runs NBC now.”

Henican told TVNewser that the FoxNews.com program is a “very raw and frank exchange” that “looks behind the curtain of punditry.”
