Avon Books Launches Digital Imprint

Avon Books, an imprint of HarperCollins Publishers, has debuted a new imprint specifically dedicated to eBooks called Avon Impulse.

The line launches with A Lady’s Wish, an original eBook by Katharine Ashe, which goes on sale on 3/15. Royal Wedding, a historical romance short fiction anthology by Stephanie Laurens, Gaelen Foley and Loretta Chase, will launch along with Prince William’s wedding in April.

The new imprint will feature eBooks and print-to-order titles from existing Avon authors, and the company has plans to sign new eBook authors. The new plans on publishing multiple titles each month, eventually releasing new content on a weekly basis.

Each new Avon Impulse book, which will be acquired by Avon editors, will get a “five-point” marketing and publicity platform, including digital marketing and publicity, social media outreach and online retail placement strategies.
