A new viral video in which Doc Brown and his time-traveling DeLorean arrive in 2011 Argentina has Back To The Future fans everywhere wondering if this means that a fourth sequel is in the works. Unfortunately, it looks like it’s just an ad for Argentine appliance store Garbarino. But just because it’s an appliance ad doesn’t mean it isn’t awesome.
The ad, which has garnered over half a million views so far, is set up like an amateur video that caught something amazing on tape, completely accidentally. A guy and girl, seemingly on their first date, make flirty small talk when suddenly the DeLorean appears out of thin air, leaving behind skid marks as it grinds to a halt in the entrance of Garbarino. Christopher Lloyd, aka Doc Brown, gets out of the DeLorean to find himself in 2011. “Great Scott!”
I, like others, had high hopes when I first saw the video that it meant a fourth part of the Back To The Future series was on the way. Regrettably, an IMDb search for “Back To The Future” confirms that Doc, Marty and the DeLorean won’t be hitting the big screen again anytime soon. That being said, as a huge Back To The Future fan, I am still in love with this campaign from Garbarino. Check it out below and let us know what you think.
