Bandsintown App Helps You Find Good Live Music

If you are one of those people who loves to check out live music and can’t get enough new bands, then Bandsintown is a must-have app. The app won’t let you miss your favorite band and the developers behind it hope that you’ll check out some new ones as well.

The way it works is that you import the artists that you listen to from one of your existing music services (Pandora, Last.fm, etc.). With this information, Bandsintown creates a custom concert cloud for you with recommendations on all of the upcoming shows in your area.

Then it takes all of your recommended concerts to create a live concert stream on your dashboard. You can also track your favorite artists to get notifications when they announce tour dates in your location, as well as when tickets go on sale. The app also recommends shows to you, so that you can check out new music based on the kind of stuff that you are already listening to.

The app is integrated with Twitter, so you can use it to see a live feed of photos and tweets that people are posting from the show. And, of course, you can tweet from the app with the hashtag #live.

The company recently partnered with Spotify to be a launch partner on Spotify’s new discover feature, that helps users get music recommendations based on their listening habits.
