The BBC World Service Trust has launched a ringtone in India that shrieks ‘condom, condom!’ according to Mobile Entertainment. The report said that the new ringtone is designed to break down the social taboo of using condoms in the developing country.

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation funded development of the ringtone with a grant. Meanwhile, a commercial showing the phone ringing out at a wedding has been produced by the Trust. Anyone who wants the ringtone can download it either via shortcode or free from anywhere worldwide via the website www.condomcondom.org.
