Beautiful Live Music Video Made at Versailles with Drone Footage

There are a lot of drone footage out there,  but hardly any as cinematic as this video though having Chateau Versailles as your setting doesn’t hurt. The air footage was from one continuous drone shot, manned by very talented drone pilots who were careful not to decapitate the band members with one of the drone’s eight sharp propellers.

Using the drone was actually suggested by the band, whose homemade video for the song, Entertainment, used a backdrop of a black and white painting of Versailles. With the drone, they were able to make the video in real life with live footage of the real castle. Dreams do come true!

Perhaps the most challenging part of the whole experience was getting the right permission. The crew from La Blogothèque had to get clearance with Versailles garden and the local Prefecture, who closed air space around the famous castle for filming. As a result, the music video looks like it took place in an empty garden devoid of people, with an amazing piece of classical architecture in the back.
