LG and Billboard.com teamed up to create Mobile Beat, a contest where 30 contestants will compete as mobile music journalists. The contestants will go to concerts, take pictures with LG enV camera phones, and write blog entries for Billboard.com with reviews of the shows and accompanying photos.
The winner, announced in mid-September, will get an all-expenses-paid trip to the Billboard Music Awards with access to the red carpet.
MediaPost is reporting that this is the first time Billboard will feature any significant amount of user-generated content. This also gets LG more press for their enV handset.
