Box.net for Android Tablets: Cloud Storage Includes Document Update Collaboration & Communication

Box.net is one of many cloud file storage and sharing services available. It has provided mobile apps for Android phones, iPhone, iPad and BlackBerry. However, Box just released apps that work with Android tablets and the BlackBerry Playbook. Box’s redesigned mobile website using HTML5 now works with Windows Phone which does not have a Box native app.

Box.net Bets On HTML5 For New Mobile Site; Launches PlayBook And Android Tablet Apps

One of Box’s unique features (compared to other cloud storage sites) is the ability to provide information about document updates. The HTML5 mobile site features:

- Updated user interface and improved interactivity
- Automatic page refresh
- Commenting
- Updated search
- View files and folders
- Share content
