Breaking News: Breaking News Teams Up with Storify

Social media curation and publishing platform Storify is now delivering breaking news from Breaking News.

The Twitter account can now be selected as a news source on Storify, and its website will feature a Storify button that brings the platform’s bookmarket and browser plug-in’s features to users. marks the first non-Storify site to host the buttons.

Storify added in a post on its blog:

To try it out, click on your user name at the top right when you’re logged in on Storify and select “Settings” from the drop-down menu, then click “Sources.” Drag “” from “Additional Sources” to “Selected Sources.” You’ll now see Breaking News as a source in the editing dashboard to use in stories.

Storify launched last fall, and TechCrunch reported that it has been in public beta since April 25, and it is about to top 100,000 stories created, while averaging 6.5 million story views per month across all of its sites.
