Hi ThinkMobile readers - all the great mobile apps, devices and reviews are now a part of mediabistro's SocialTimes.com. Thanks for reading!

British_Airways_iPhone.jpgBritish Airways this morning launched a new service that lets customers check in for their flights from any Web-enabled mobile device, across global markets in 11 different languages, which appears to be an industry first. (Not the mobile check-in part; that’s been around for a while, but the 11-languages, global markets part.)

The new mobile site, located at www.ba.com/mobile, is powered by Usablenet, the same company that developed mobile sites for American Airlines, Jet Blue, Northwest Airlines and US Airways.

The BA site lets customers view the British Airways timetable, select seats, and check-in individuals, groups and families for departure or return flights in real-time, without having to install any additional software on their cell phones.
