Tickets.com, the integrated ticketing solution site, announced the launch of ProVenueMobile, a mobile version of their consumer facing Web site that lets people buy tickets 24/7 from their cell phones.
ProVenueMobile is a mobile WAP site, so it works on any cell phone with a built-in Web browser and an activated data plan. The new service is powered by Usablenet and will coexist with Tickets Phone, the mobile ticket delivery feature launched by Tickets.com back in 2006.
Last week, Usablenet announced that Sears has gone mobile with the launch of the retailer’s purchase-and-pickup mobile commerce system that lets consumers manage in-store pickup of merchandise from their cell phones.
