Hockey fans in Canada (isn’t that just about everybody?) who also happen to be Bell Mobility customers can now spend $8 a month for a new NHL Bundle.
According to Sports Business Journal, the 3G content offering includes both live and recorded full game broadcasts, live radio play-by-play and some original video content. However, due to pesky blackout restrictions, the live broadcasts can only include games between two US teams.
The NHL is only the second professional sports league to offer live game streams on mobile; the NFL and Sprint teamed up last year to offer live broadcasts of the eight regular season football games shown on the NFL Network.
