King.com is finally bringing its very popular iOS and Android game Candy Crush Saga to Amazon’s App Store.
The game has more than 53 million players worldwide and is often in the weekly Top Free Android Apps list and the weekly Top Free iPhone Apps list. While Android and Apple dominate the app share, Amazon is fighting to be a part of the app scene and getting Candy Crush is a good move for the company.
CNET has the scoop:
King, the game’s creator, announced that the game would land in Amazon’s Appstore for “select” countries Tuesday, with a global release on Thursday….Now all Amazon needs is its long-rumored smartphone to really capitalize on Candy Crush’s addictive gameplay. It’s a nice nab for Amazon, which has been trying to bolster its app offerings.
