Last night YouTube announced that they’ve added a brand new feature to the YouTube Video Editor that will let you color correct and stabilize your videos in a click and it looks pretty sweet.

If you’ve tuned into Hulu today, you’ve probably noticed that things look a little bit different. The online video streaming site has launched a brand new bigger and better player.

When YouTube launched their new design back in December 2011, including a new homepage and new channel design, the YouTube community had their reservations (after all, in general people don’t love change). But now that the new design has been out for a few months and users are getting used to the new look, YouTube has released some statistics that show that the new YouTube not only looks nice, but it’s also effective.

Over the coming weeks YouTube is planning to roll out some pretty major changes to their video player. Rumors have been flying about a new player complete with thumbnail previews and storyboards, but now those rumors are about to become a reality. Here’s a sneak peak of what’s in store.

Over the past few months YouTube has been making major strides towards making content accessible for as many people as possible, putting a lot of effort into new initiatives to get as many of their videos captioned as possible. Today on their blog, YouTube provides an update on their recent progress with closed captioning.

With the launch of the new YouTube design at the end of the year, YouTube Channels have become a lot more customizable with four different layout templates, and rumor has it that things are about to become even more customizable—at least for brands.

YouTube has been busy fine-tuning the site, adding new features and responding to user feedback ever since they launched their major site redesign at the end of 2011. Last month they rolled out updates to their Video Editor, Video Manager and Browse page. This week they’ve announced their next set of new releases, including updated Annotations and some new social features. Find out more after the jump.

Vimeo hasn’t just redesigned their site, they’ve completely torn the old Vimeo down and built a new one from scratch that puts greater focus on your videos, improves the user experience and incorporates new features that the community has been asking for.

YouTube has just undergone a pretty major overhaul of their design, but it looks like they aren’t done yet. Amit Agarwal of Digital Inspiration reports that the online video giant has got a new player in the works and it’s going to be a pretty major change, complete with thumbnail previews and auto-generated storyboards.
