In October of 2010, Cebu Pacific Airlines flight attendants went viral with a safety flash dance that got over 5 million views in 5 days. The original video, which features flight attendants dancing to Lady Gaga’s ‘Just Dance,’ while demonstrating the safety features of the plane, now has over 10 million views and just over a year after it went viral the Cebu Pacific flight attendants have returned with a brand new flash dance to celebrate the holiday season.
Cebu Pacific Christmas Safety Demo Dance hit YouTube earlier this week and is going viral today with 189,755 views so far. Flight attendants on Domestic and International flights, to and from the Philippines, will be dancing on selected flights to Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want For Christmas (Is You)’ through the end of the year.
Since the original video went viral, Cebu Pacific has opened up their own YouTube channel, where they have been posting videos since February of this year. However, this week’s Christmas Safety Demo Dance is the first of their videos to break 100,000 views (the next most-watched video on their channel clocks in at only 12,000 views).
Will their new flight attendant flash dance video rack up the millions of views that the original did? Probably not. But it certainly does bring back some fond memories of the first time around. And, of course, you can never hear Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want For Christmas’ too many times this time of year!
