Solid-state (no tape) digital video cameras used to be categorized as expensive devices until Pure Digital Technologies introduced the hugely popular low-cost Flip Video line. They range in price from the $149.99 for the Flip Ultra to $229.99 for the amazing Flip MinoHD (HD = High Definition).

I find it kind of interesting that a network hardware manufacturer is adding a consumer digital video camera to its portfolio. It is not their first purchase of a company that makes consumer products. But, I do wonder how it fits in their strategic plans.
