Take your hands off me, you dirty app! CNBC will debut one-hour documentary Planet of the Apps: A Hand-Held Revolution! Thursday, Jan. 7 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
CNBC’s Scott Wapner will examine application developers and go inside the business of the app world, looking specifically at Chicago-based entrepreneurs Darren Marshall and Phil Tadros, who are trying to launch a budget-management tool called TextHog, which would allow users to immediately record expenses by texting them to their TextHog accounts.
Planet of the Apps will also profile MEDL Mobile, a Southern California company that aims to launch 1,000 apps over the next two years.
CNBC said the documentary will reair Sunday, Jan. 10 at 11 p.m. ET.
